A group of activists with the group "Food Not Bombs" were in Hurt Park serving food to the homeless. A large group of officers approached the activists and Copwatch began filming.
Officer J. Spears demanded that we stop filming him. The camera person explained that he was only observing, and had no intention of interfering with anything.
We requested the officer's name and badge number repeatedly, and he clearly and deliberately refused to identify himself. He claimed he was not required to identify himself. Only after many repeated requests for his name and badge number did the officer provide it.
He threatened the camera person multiple times with arrest if we did not stop filming him.
The officer also shoved the camera person violently and later grabbed his arm and forcefully moved him. When asked to release him, the officer refused and claimed that the camera person was going to be arrested.
